Spring Cleaning For Your Mind

Spring is here and, in this blog, we will be talking about how to clear your mind this spring.  As the days get longer, they can create an opportunity to improve mental wellbeing. Here are nine ideas on how to do some spring cleaning for your mind.

1.        Time outdoors this could mean simply going outside for a walk exploring a new park or hiking spot.

2.        Alone time; it could mean taking time for you when where you get to reflect in and take a break from everyday stress and everyday life another way to clear your mind

3.        Taking a break from social media especially if you have noticed that social media has been taking a lot of your time or neglecting other tasks that are important in your life.

4.        Reconnect with social connections possibly friends or family that you lost touch with during the winter months.

5.        Re-engage in hobbies that were not possible during wintertime or colder months.

6.        Another idea to help clear your mind is to seek support: this could mean a friend or a professional to help you through mental health challenges that you may be experiencing.

7.        Springtime can also be a great time to try new seasonal foods that were not available during the winter.

8.        Enjoying new sounds, sights, smells in nature such as birds and flowers

9.        Longer days could mean: more time to do activities or just the ability to enjoy more sunlight and daylight to help your mood.

How many of these nine you done this spring so far? Can you challenge yourself to try to do some or all of them?
