Looking for a Therapist?

You’ve tried several self-help books, talking to friends or family, walking , avoiding social media, shopping , isolating , over eating or under eating and none of these things have worked to decrease your anxiety. You’re physically exhausted from experiencing ongoing anxiety and panic attacks. It’s tiring being stuck in the past due to lack of effective coping skills or past trauma. You may even feel so fearful of the future that you can not enjoy the present moment.

A Therapist Who Helps with Anxiety, Trauma and Burnout

My name is Patricia “Patty” Munoz , I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California #LMFT 77160 and I am a therapist who helps women overcome anxiety and pain from their past. I am passionate about culturally competent mental health care for Latina women in California.

I like to see my clients make progress and we will have usual check-ins about your progress in therapy at 5 weeks, 10 weeks and 15 weeks. In my experience these are important milestones to reflect on progress or obstacles in therapy. Keep in mind we can adjust therapy as needed or more often if necessary. I rely on your feedback to make therapy work for you. I will also provide kind direct feedback and guidance in therapy. Clients have shared with me that they feel more confident when they have clear goals and direction in therapy.

I’m first generation Mexican-American, first born daughter raised by a single mother. I get the struggles that come with living in two cultures at the same time and how how it can impact mental health. I am passionate about breaking the stigma of mental health. My blog focuses on these struggles and offers guidance.
